Very fine chain
  I purchased this chain to go with the pewter initial pendant. The chain itself was much too dainty to go with that particular pendant so I had to return and order the heavier rhodium chain. The sterling chain is lovely and would probably be best on its own without any pendant.
Response from Store Manager: This silver chain is meant to be worn with silver pendants like our birthstone gems which are lighter weight than pewter. The pewter pendant is not only heavier, but it could also damage the silver, so your exchange for the rhodium-plated chain was a wise choice.
