Pottery Dogwood Sponge Holder

In Stock
Enjoy North Carolina's state flower, the dogwood, in your kitchen with this beautifully-crafted pottery sponge holder made by Bluegill Pottery in Gastonia. Each piece is imprinted with a hand-carved stamp and individually-painted, resulting in a stunning mossy green sponge holder decorated with buds and flowers. Due to the craftsmanship, no two pieces are alike.

Make it a set with matching soap dish.

Bluegill Pottery’s Vicki Gill has made nature-inspired pottery for more than 20 years. She was first exposed to pottery while majoring in painting and drawing in college, and she renewed her interest in clay after moving to North Carolina. Vicki finds inspiration in North Carolina’s natural beauty and unique pottery history. She often decorates her work with images of leaves and flowers, which she stamps onto the clay. Vicki creates her own glazes, which she layers to complement her designs. She has lived and worked in Gastonia since 2004.

Made in North Carolina.
