This stunning bowl will make a statement on your table. Handmade in Matthews by Addison Pottery, each bowl is imprinted with leaves and petals creating a design that looks like an open flower. Finished with a matte ivory glaze, this perfect display bowl measures 12 inches across.
More than 15 years ago, while working as a high school chemistry teacher, Nancy Addison participated in a grant project with Charlotte’s Mint Museum, teaching the relationship between science and ceramics. The resident potter let her throw clay on the wheel, and she was hooked. Nancy has since taken studio classes through Carolina Clay Matters Guild and an intensive course in hand building and texture at the John C. Campbell Folk School, which heavily influenced her style. She works from her home studio in Matthews, where she works on both wheel-thrown and hand-built pieces. The colors, shapes and textures of the changing North Carolina seasons influence her work.
Made in North Carolina.
