This brownstone speckled pottery cream and sugar set looks pretty on the breakfast table. The cream pitcher features a functional pouring spout, and the sugar jar features a fitted lid. Both pieces are finished in a food-safe glaze. Each piece was hand-thrown on the wheel and then hand-carved by the artist, Tanya Aaron.
Tanya Aaron of Artful Earth Pottery has worked with clay since 2011. She grew up in the Selma-Smithfield area, surrounded by nature. Her interest in pottery flourished when she took a class at a local art studio, and she hasn't looked back since. Tanya takes inspiration from the things she loves most: gardening, cooking, beekeeping, photography, and tending to her five spoiled hens. She believes North Carolina is an inspiring place and enjoys creating pottery that is useful and brings joy to the user. Tanya works out of the community studio at Pullen Art Center in Raleigh, and lives in Smithfield.
