Hand-turned from cherry and walnut woods, these little houses attract nesting hummingbirds to lay their tiny eggs. The houses measure 5 inches tall and 2 inches wide and would also make darling ornaments. Choose from two available designs, Basket Weave and Grass & Leaves, which are decorated with artistic wood burning.
Hummingbird chicks typically return year after year to start their own families. These wooden houses are made to withstand the elements when placed in a protected area and brought inside each winter and will age gracefully over the years. Instructions are included to help entice a hummingbird to each house, but results are not guaranteed!
Our Hummingbird Houses are made by Turning Tree Workshop, consisting of father-daughter duo Gary and Amber, who have handcrafted wooden items since 2002. Hailing from a long line of woodworkers, they began to create works together and eventually opened to the public to share their pieces and passion with the world. They live and work in Shelby, North Carolina.
