Inspired by her grandmother's garden, Our State editor in chief Elizabeth Hudson selected five varieties of heirloom flowers that have long been favorites in Southern gardens. Seeds are developed by Sow True Seed in Asheville and include English Single White Daisy, Outhouse Hollyhock, Single Mix Dahlia, Tall Blue Bachelor's Button, and Pink Balsam Impatiens. Our collection of five packets is packaged in an attractive tin for gifting or reuse.
Sow True Seed was founded in 2008 by lifelong gardener Carol Koury. They provide open-pollinated, GMO-free, heirloom, and organic vegetable, herb, and flower seeds to enthusiastic home gardeners and work diligently to preserve heirloom varieties.
