Handcrafted by Bee Gracious on their Hamptonville farm, these sturdy houses are made from natural Yadkin Valley hardwood. Each house features a linseed oil coating and handmade shakes, and opens at the bottom for easy cleaning. Natural knots may be visible and add natural beauty to the wood grain. These are ready to cap over any 4" x 4" post.
To open and clean house: At the base of the bird house, right above the bottom board, (in front, it is down below the perch) on the front & back are screws. Unscrew these and the housing lifts right off of the base for easy cleaning. This type of opening keeps the house straight on the post during wind.
Run by Frankie and Darrell Allen, Bee Gracious is a fifth generation farm nestled in the Yadkin Valley of North Carolina that specializes in restoring gardens, paths, sheds and habitats for nature’s critters. They use naturally-felled local trees for lumber to build handcrafted wood items for the garden. Darrell is a self-taught woodcrafter since 1996, and he enjoys creating solid wood birdhouses that mimic the birds’ natural habitat. You can find the pair working outdoors on their Hamptonville farm and enjoying nature.
Made in North Carolina.
